Your AI doesn't have amnesia. You do.
The reason output feels generic is almost never the model. It's what you were able to remember to paste.
There is a particular disappointment in reading a generated PRD that is fluent, well-structured, and describes a product that is not yours. The instinct is to blame the model. Usually the model did exactly what it was asked with exactly what it was given.
The paste ceiling
Output quality is capped by the context you supplied, and the context you supplied is capped by what you could recall and find in the two minutes before you hit enter. Every session starts from that ceiling, and every session starts from scratch.
You are not prompting a model. You are dictating from memory, under time pressure, and hoping you left nothing out.
What changes when the memory is not yours
When the product's context is held somewhere durable, the first move stops being 'explain the product' and becomes 'here is the question'. The interesting consequence is not speed. It is that the tool can now disagree with you — because it knows something you forgot.
Stop writing PRDs without understanding the product.
Anchor reads your interviews, tickets and docs first — then writes, citing every line.
